Open it
Tap the button on the phone you want it on. Adding it to your home screen is the step after that.
Open CareMaster Roster ControllerOr type the address in yourself:
roster.igye.orgiPhone and iPad
Use Safari. Chrome on an iPhone can do it too, but Safari is the reliable path.
- Open the address above in Safari.
- Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen (or top-right on an iPad).
- Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
- The name will already say CareMaster Roster Controller. Tap Add, top-right.
What you should see
The IGYE bird on your home screen, labelled Roster Ctrl — phones cut a long name off, so that is the short version. Opening it from there runs it full screen with no address bar, which is how you know it installed rather than just bookmarked.
Samsung and other Android phones
Works in both Chrome and Samsung Internet.
Chrome
- Open the address above in Chrome.
- Tap the three dots at the top-right.
- Tap Add to Home screen (some versions say Install app).
- Tap Install, then Add if it asks a second time.
Samsung Internet
- Open the address above in Samsung Internet.
- Tap the three lines at the bottom-right.
- Tap Add page to, then Home screen.
- Tap Add.
On a laptop
There is nothing to install. Open the address in Edge or Chrome and sign in the same way. If you want it in its own window rather than a browser tab, use the install icon in the address bar — a small screen with an arrow, at the right-hand end — or the three-dot menu, then Apps → Install this site as an app.
Keeping it safe
This app changes real CareMaster records and shows participant and support-worker information, so treat it the way you would treat CareMaster itself.
- Lock your phone with a PIN, pattern, fingerprint or face. The app stays signed in for 30 days so it is quick to open — which also means an unlocked phone is an open roster.
- Do not share your password. Every change is stamped in CareMaster with the email address of whoever made it, so a shared password makes the record wrong as well as unsafe.
- Sign out from inside the app if you lend the phone to someone.
- Tell the Director straight away if the phone is lost or you think someone has your password — an account can be reset or removed in seconds, and that ends every session on it at once.
If something is not right
- It says the username and password did not match. Check you are using your IGYE address. After eight tries the account locks for 15 minutes — wait it out, or ask the Director to reset it.
- The board is empty. Check the date at the top; it opens on today, and a quiet day is genuinely empty. Pull down to refresh.
- A change was refused for being too short. IGYE does not bill a support under two hours, so the roster will not take one. Book the full two hours.
- Anything else — email theteam@igye.org or ring 0487 570 470.
